Yes, if you run higher boost pressure than stock
Can't comment on the PES valve, but I know an upgraded valve is worth it if you've chipped your car or run any boost higher than stock. You might want to look at some other valves, though. Others are cheaper and do the same job.
I have a Forge valve, which I got from:
