New at DIY Oil Change
I have a 2000 A4Q Manual Tranmission. Love this car! I've done many oil changes on my '90 Corrado but this will be the first on my A4 so I wanted to verify a few things to ensure that I don't make any seriously bad manouvers.
1. Just to confirm, the drain plug is large hex bolt mounted at the lowest point vertically on the passenger-side front of the oil pan, (opposite side of the oil pan to what appears to be a sending unit for oil temp)?
2. What is the proper hex size to use on the drain plug?
3. I heard that the plug is lifetime service...there are no washers to replace on an oil change...is this correct?
4. Turn counterclockwise to remove?
Thanks
