New issue w/my car...nothing bad...just annoying as fvck!
This JUST started happening within the last 2 weeks. I didn't notice it at first cause I always have the heat/fan on and the radio on. But with our nice warm (40?) weather a couple weekends back I got in to start my car..push the clutch to the floor..and sqeeeeek. WTF??? It only sqeeks when you have the pedal all the way down and letting it back up. I feel like I'm driving my old 70 Chevelle again!! It sqeeks towards the bottom of the pedal being all the way to the floor. Anyone else have this happen (must be..it's a VAG product!! lol) Quick fix???

Hmmm...
I just had a throwout bearing problem. It started making noise even at 10% clutch disengagement. If it is the bearing, be prepared to put up with it for a while, unless you wanna pay $600 in labor just to take the clutch out. (Which I just did....ouch)

I had this a few years ago...
The dealer replaced a whole bunch of expensive parts (I think the clutch master cylinder if I remember correctly) on Audi's dime but it still squeaked at the bottom of the pedal travel.
Finally they figured out what it was. There is a switch on the clutch pedal that allows the car to start only when the clutch is pressed in. I am sure you have noticed this as the car will not start without the clutch pressed. If this switch goes bad the car will not start. Anyway my squeak was coming from this switch. The mechanic put a little bit of lubrication (I am not sure what kind) on the switch and all has been quiet ever since.
Hope this helps,

Well..I'm getting the clutch replaced next month (for stg3 purposes)-->
I'll just have my mechanic look at it while he's down there. The car drives fine...I still have a point of engagement..and the clutch doesn't slip. I take a look at the switch (under the dash somewhere I'm assuming???) And have him look at it w/the clutch install.
Thanks guys!
