Default New South intake manifold gasket worth it?...more
I need to replace my leaking valve cover gasket, and I saw the New South intake manifold gasket on ECS's site for $55; figured I should replace it while I'm fixing the valve cover, is it worth it? I would think its BS but someone prove me wrong. I searched the archives but did not see much on them.

It would make sooo little difference really I can't see it being worth it IMHO.

Default personally, i'd use a phenolic one.
search for the "evoshield".

I have the Evoshield....it works. You can feel the difference in touching the manifold.
