Mom showed up to our family get-together tonight in a new (just over 100 miles on the odometer) BMW X5. Very nice...!
White with camel leather. She had a sport package (just happened to be on the one that was the right color). She had the phone system installed...my main point, tonight.

The phone system included at flip-phone that jacks into a console in the armrest. Any numbers programmed on the hand-held unit automatically upload to the computer in the car when you plug it in.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to take it for a drive, as we were sitting down for an evening of gluttonous extravagance.

Look was Ed.J/James R. came up with. I doubt what they have now will work one bit w/o a lot of modification because the telematics system integrated with the OnStar stuff, and offers new stuff (voice activation). I'm guessing if one of them moves up to a 2002 or 2003 that has this stuff, some day they'll integrate other phones, but for the near future, you'll need to buy a Motorola V60c (the new Audi digital phone).
