Hi Folks,

Would appreciate some guidance here. I'm a newby to the forum. My wife's A4 recently took a beating from some kids it seems and the whole driver side side-mirror was trashed.

I was looking for some guidance on the cost to replace the whole driver side assembly. Any thoughts on how long something like this should take in terms of labor if I bring it to a body shop? I'm concerned since they are power mirror that it may take longer...

Any guidance would be appreciate.

You may want to search some history for parts. On a previous audi that had a mirror smashed, I was able to replace the glass mirror and the shell but the motor was fine. This saved some $$$.

Clair might be able to help with the parts. Cut down the middleman markup from the body shop.

The only tools you need are a Ph1 screwdriver for the door card and a small socket for the mirror mounts.
Infact iirc you can remove the mirror without removing the doorcard.
