Want to get the Neuspeed rear swaybar from Carparts.com. They have one for A4 Quattro. Is this the same part I should get for non-Quattro?
I have '98 1.8T. Thanks.

rear suspension...you have a torsion crank rear end. There are rear anti-sways for FWD's...but they're just torque tubes...you have to drill holes to put them in etc. They're not a good idea.

Drilling holes? I have a rear swaybar on my fwd and I did not have to drill any holes. The installations was rather easy and it made a noticeable improvement in handling.

When I had a FWD I don't remember being able to get a REAR bar for the car.
The ones I had seen for the car were torque tubes which went up inside the rear trailing arm and made it more torsionally rigid...I don't remember seeing a classic rear anti sway bar...the whole rear end is an anti sway...it's a giant torsion beam.
If I didn't notice it my bad...but I was down there quite a few times. What year is your FWD?

BTW - I did have the Neu front bar...but no rear.

Sorry for the obscenity
I have 2001.5. Neuspeed's catalog says its for '96+, so I don't think that the year makes a difference. It comes in 25mm and 29mm. Whether or not it is a classic swaybar, I do not know. It does improve the handling, though.

but I ended up buying another set of RE's...when the CH's show up they're going back or I'll sell them. I just can't handle all that fender rolling drama...tire drama...sticking out wheels drama...it's just too much for me to handle. I drive pretty hard and can make my current setup rub at the limit. So I know I'd have serious issues with the CH's.
Yeah the RE's are about 3 lbs heavier...but hey these are my street wheels...I like the way they look, and they're strong. As for people claiming they're played...well they're not. They may SEEM played on this board...but that's the thing...the board gives a distorted view of the world. I live in SoCal land of the bling and tricked out cars and I've seen maybe 2 other cars rolling RE's Mine...Damon H. and some dude that showed up to one of our TO events. So yeah...here where all the countrys A4/S4 owners are concentrated it may appear they're played...but fact of the matter is I don't see them that much, so I don't care, I like em and that's all that matters.
For the track I'm going to look at the SSR Integral...they're quite light and clear my brakes.
Thanks to everyone for all your help with the CH's and **** in general...sorry if it seems like a let down...but this really was the right thing for me to do.
