I know it's long, but it's the real deal...the future of HID's rides on this.

Default Lots of hypertechnical stuff... all I know is I don't like to see HID's coming at me.

The glare is a real safety issue IMO. The engineers can either sort it out or junk them.

Default The problem lies with people looking at the lights when they see them. Stop staring at.........

them and suddenly the glare isn't bad at all. You can be blinded easily by regular Halogen lights if you stare at them too, but they're everywhere and noone notices them. When aimed properly, the HID lights do not make it any harder for oncoming drivers to see. If you had HID lights on your car you'd appreciate the clarity and broadness of the light emitted by them, and what that enables you to see at night. In my opinion (and this is exactly that), HID lights should be embraced by the automotive community. Although, I do think that they are inappropriate in applications such as SUVs or trucks where the actual height of the lights inevitably makes them more glare prone. Where used properly, the benefits of HID lighting far outway any detrimental effects they may have.

Default I wish they would stop wasting their time with this and do something about my wet braking

problem! They received 200 complaints, and that was enough to put this thing together? I wonder how many complaints they received about the wet braking issue in A4's?

Default Oh yeah, and Audi's fix...install metal shields that help prevent the pads........

and rotors from getting as wet. Well they not only do that, they also prevent much needed air circulation from cooling the rotors!!! Obviously there is a design flaw.

Default I see HIDs coming all the time...Never once have they blinded me..

The people that are complaining about the blinding "HID" lights...were probably just seeing Honda Civics with HID-look alike bulbs...
