Nice Day Today= Wash/Wax/Debadge My Car! I need some links...
Anyone got a link that explains how to debage your car correctly?
I am also looking for a link that explains how to wash/wax/detail the hell out of your car and what products to use to to it. I want to get my car looking like its ready to go to a show or something!
Thanks,
Tim

heres a good link on washing your car
to debadge just heat them up with a hairdryer, then run fishing line behind the badge to pry it off. after that, just clean the remaining "glue" off with goo gone. then wax that area.

https://forums.audiworld.com/detail/msgs/14545.phtml</a

Re: how much do you think that would cost and do you think it would be a good idea for me?
i think the buffer was i think $30 or $40 bucs at Pepboys the wax is expensive $12 is top quality....its easy, buff the wax on, switch the applicator and wait 10-20 min and then buff it off....its actually fun and you look like a profeessional doing it!!!

Here's my routine...
I do this routine twice a year. Takes about 5 hours.
1) Buy a six pack of your favorite beer and start dirinking.
2) Wash car twice with HOT water and dishsoap (Dawn). This ensures that dirt, grime, and old wax is remove thoroughly. Hot water is really important - ever try and wash dishes with cold water??
3) Finish beer and open 2nd one.
4) Using a random orbital buffer (PorterCable for me), apply a polish (I used 3M Swirl Remover for Dark Cars). Remove by hand.
5) Finish beer and open 3rd one
6) Again, using the RO buffer, apply Klasse All-in-One acrylic cleaner/polish/sealant. Remove by hand.
7) Finish beer and open 4th one
8) Apply/remove Klasse Sealant Glaze by hand.
9) Finish beer and open 5th one
10) Apply/remove Blitz One Grand Wax by hand.
11) Finish beer and open the last one
12) Apply a second coat of Blitz by hand.
A am a big fan of the acrylic products (Klasse, Zaino) - they tend to last much longer than wax. Some hardcore enthusiast don't like acrylic b/c it is very difficult to remove if needed. I've used Klasse for over 10 years with excellent results.

No, it'll help dissolve and break down the adhesive behind the badges.
It'll also remove any wax on the paint...so clean up and rewax the area when you're done with the goo gone.
