Default Nice Socket Organizers ?

Looking for a socket organizer that doesn't waste a lot of space. I don't really like the rails or I would go that route. Basically, I want to be able to fit over 200 sockets in the top (not in a drawer) of my 26"W x 18"D Craftsman toolchest.

I looked at the socket organizers made by Craftsman, but they use 2 drawers for what could easily fit in the space of 1. There is a lot of wasted space between the sockets and between the rows of sockets.

I've considered making my own, but I wanted to see what was out there first. What's everyone got? Numbers (price and # of sockets), dimensions and pics wanted!

Thanks,
Ryan

Default I use these...

You can buy them at sears. Don't let the plastic scare you, they are strong (and cheap too in case you do manage to break them)

http://store.summitracing.com/egnsearch.asp?N=700+400586+115+4294737366</a

Default The Hansens are really nice but take up too much space

The metric 1/2" drive tray takes up almost the full width of the top of my box..

I actually just picked some of those up at Sears on sale for $10 each but realized how big they are once I got home.

Default i've never been able to find one I like... resorted to this

I bought one set deep one set shallow of sockets from snap on.

These are the ones I use the majority of the time. Most stuff on our cars (or at least 2001) = 8mm,10mm,13mm, 16mm

Default You should fabricate a carbon fiber divider for the wrenches.... that would be hella sick

as young folk say.

Default You should fabricate a carbon fiber handle grip for the adjustable . . .

Imagine the conversations you could have around that.

Default "so you somehow find time to fabricate a CF handle for a wrench. But you can't put a bumper on your

car?"

Although it is quite menacing
