This weekend my cat broke...clogged the exhaust pipe so i had to get it towed. The cat was hollowed out till the new one comes so the car can be drove in a pinch, but I'm running no engine codes. I have a 2.8 but I only had one 3in in/out magnaflow cat from when i redid the exhaust this summer. Possible reasons for not running codes? Maybe the o2 sensors don't go far enough into the pipe? Just trying to figure this problem out since i think it might lead to why my cat died.

Some of the internals of the cat had a little black clogged part. Does this mean gas go in there? Thanks for the help in advance!

How many miles have you put on? IIRC, it takes a while to throw a code for bad/no cat.

At least thats what I thought the Federal Emissions Warranty was, I have warrantied parts within that frame before.
