No clutch pedal pushrod adjustment on 99.0 1.8T?
There is virtually no freeplay in my clutch pedal, and the clutch engages at the very top of the travel. I need a new clutch soon but was hoping to prolong things a little by adjusting the pedal. The clutch does slip occasionally under high torque load.
I removed the under dash cover and was surprised to find that there is no way to adjust the pushrod that connects the clutch pedal to the master cylinder.
Also, the upper clutch switch does not limit the upward motion of the pedal, so that is not the issue.
Is this true that there is no manual adjustment in the clutch system? And where is the auto adjuster I read about in the archives?

Perhaps this will help...
But keep in mind your clutch pedal position is fine...
This came out of Mitchell OnDemand. Not sure how accurate it is.

thanks... they do refer to an adjustable pushrod but I was not able to find it
I looked at the rod connecting the pedal to the master cylinder and here is no locking nut or threaded section. Maybe this only applies to certain models?
