Default No good deed goes unpunished

So I decide to clean the throttle body in my 99.5 1.8tqm the other day. Everything went fine, cleaned it out, put it back on and did a TBA using Vag Com.

Car starts and runs great. Idle is normal when the car is cold.

Now it idles fast when warm (and only when warm). Car idles fine when cold, rock solid. When at temperature, the idle will slowly creep up from 1000 to 1400 rpm. Blip the throttle and it drops back to 1000, only to slow creep up.

I've done the TBA a few times to no avail and see no signs of a bindng throttle plate.

Any ideas? Is it possible it's tied to when the car is in closed loop only ?

Thanks

Bill

Default Thanks. Searched "fast/high idle" but got no hits.

Mine seems a bit different as it will stay at 1400 all day long if you don't blip the throttle.

Default Try

rpm idle rise,

rpm idle drop

rpm drop

rpm rise.
