Default No More MY2000 Factory Orders???????

I went to the dealer today to order a MY2000 A4 and I was told Audi is not accepting orders for new cars. Knowing sales people are unable to tell the truth I am somewhat reluctant to believe this. Am I the only one to smell a turd or is this info actually correct.

And if this info is actually a lie should Audi be notified that this is the way there product is being represented? I'm so sick of car sales people. Can't even tell the truth from the lies anymore.

Default It's true.

April is the last production month for the 2000. I encountered the same problem less than 2 weeks ago. I had to place an order on 13th, because you Audi wouldn't allow dealers to modify existing orders or place new orders. The dealer decided to order the car to my specs, even though I am still trying to decide between the 2.8 and the 328. He said he give me my deposit back if I changed my mind. I had nothing to lose so I went ahead and ordered it. It will be here in early June. So I guess I have a while to decide. By the way, this is about the only dealer who has been honest with me from the start and he seems to really know whats going on. Other dealers were telling me that I could still order a 2000 in May. It is hard to find someone who knows what's up and is willing to tell the truth.

Nope. He's telling the truth. As of May 1,2000, no more Y2K models will be built.

So, If I go to buy an A4 in mid-april, and I have to order it, it will be a 2001. But- if I buy one of the lot it would be an 00- right?

It is true, I live over here in Germany(God bless the autobahn), the model year runs different over here, so that's why you get Audi releasing a .5 every year. I guess they just went ahead this year and called hte '00.5 the '01 instead.
