No rear wheel alignment without front?

No rear wheel alignment without front?
My rear wheels need to be align (one was bumped). It's an a4 quattro. The service person at the dealer said they can't do a rear wheel alignment without doing the front first. Is there any reason for this??

WHAT!! Just had mine done at stealer last night. 4 wheel quattro, $79.
Mounted and balanced my snows as well, plus bought two oil filters to have on hand.....
Total bill $130.78.
