Default Non self dimming mirror owners... I need a favor.

I just had a windshield replaced on my wife's '99 A4 Avant. Wrong size glass, and they put the rear view mirror back on pretty low. Kind of an awkward request... But can someone please verify the STOCK dimension from the mirror mount center to the top of the molding. They are coming back with the new glass, and I want them to fix this as well. TIA.

Default My dimming (which should be located in the EXACT same spot as non-dimming is...

6 inches from the edge of the roof sheet metal to the CENTER of the mirror mount. It is 5 and 5/8ths from where the glass starts (actually see glass, not talking about black molding (edge of molding/glass)) to the CENTER of the mirror.

Even if my mirror mounting piece is larger for whatever reason (dimming aspect), I measured to the center, so just do it at the same distance to center. (Note: My windshield has been replaced but the plastic part which contains the dimming wires is hard plastic and maintains a consistent distance b/n mirror and roof liner.)

Default Ha, why do you say that? Isn't the C5's windshield larger? The distance on A6 and A4 could be

completely different. Either way, hope that helps some.

Self-dimming mirror on B5 an C5 is the same... Hence my thought.
