I'm about to order the front H-sport sway bar from purems.com and I was just wondering if the 99.5 2.8Q sport package already came with an adequate front sway stock. I'm also looking to replace the rear brakes when I do the A8 front brake upgrade, any suggestions on beefing those up or should i just stick with the stock size rotors and get some nice pads? TIA

bar only.
If it's time to replace your front rotors/pads, it's not much more to do the A8 kit.

or not like to change direction at the breaking point of the tires (front), this is safe because if things get hairy and you let off the gas it stops "plowing" forward and you can correct easily, but you cannot kick out the rear end. adding just a bigger front sway bar will make understeer even worse, and is not advisable. either get just a bigger rear that is well matched to your front sway (neuspeed 19mm) or get a matched front and rear (H-sport kit) this will reduce understeer instead of add to it.

I was thinking it would make the handling more balanced if it was coupled with the 19mm neuspeed rear bar that I have waiting to be put on.

but, to me, you've just wasted money on the rear bar by buying/installing the front bar. you may have less rollover, but you've put the moderate understeer back into the car. maybe that's what you want...

<a href="put your link here">text here</ a>

all we were able to get was a front Neuspeed bar. The rear was released and then pulled off the market due to subframe damage from the rear Neuspeed quattro bar. They decided to pull the fwd rear bars as well...although nobody had damage from that model. Then years later...Neuspeed finally released the rear bar for both fwd and quattro. The brackets are different and made much better. With that said..I drove a long time with just the front Neuspeed bar. The car still handled in the turns better than stock and after adding the rear bar...I really have not noticed all that much difference. The difference only seems to be obvious in the most extreme conditions. That front 4 link suspension has a lot to do with how the front end handles. This is why...my 89 Jetta with full suspension handled better than my A4 with same setup. The 4 link in some ways seems to be a downer...especially on a fwd. I would go with the Neuspeed 29mm front bar. The H-sport 35mm is overkill. Greedspeed has a good price on the Neuspeed bar.
