Default Normal driving, pop hood at night, turbo is slightly redish (barely noticeable). Normal?

First turbo car - so I'm just curious. I typically take my time shutting down the engine, turn off the heater, stereo, etc... usually 10-15 seconds. If spirited driving (not much yet, 935 miles!) I'll let her cool for a couple minutes, and instead of just letting it idle, I will rev it up every 20 or 30 seconds to 1600 rpm to flow the oil a little more.

So - this sound ok to everyone? I plan to chip eventually, so want to make sure to care for my turbo best as possible. The slight red I can see at night is a little bit of concern, but I think this is normal.

Any advice appreciated.

Default Only slightly? You're not driving hard enough.

You're not allowed back in the garage, until it's nice and BRIGHT red, you hear me little boy?

Now go out and play harder.
