Default Is it normal to get headlights in 99.5 replaced 7 times in ONE year???

This is rediculous. It gets cold overnight and my left headlight blows AGAIN. This will be my 7th time replacing the damn left headlight in one year! I don't know what's wrong with my A4, but dealer says everythings allright in the car. I don't believe so anymore.

I'm approaching 50K, and I don't wanna keep this car after warranty. If anything goes out after that, I'm out of luck because I bet everything's gonna go wrong once that 50k mark hits.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Audi (really), but the little things just seem to keep reappearing every 2-3 months and its not just with headlights. Audi's are great cars, but they really need to work on realiabily for once.

Sorry, had to vent.

Default You know, I already came to the conclusion that maybe I bought a lemon, but there's nothing I can do

According to the so-called "lemon law," my car has to be in the shop for a total of 30 days, or a bunch of times being fixed for something that inhibits the car from operating.

B.S. if you ask me. But I tried 2 months ago and I couldn't get anywhere. Plus I have to fight my dealer which doesn't like me too much because I'm such a regular client in the service department.

I'm just frustrated but I wanna stay with an A4. I like the car, and I know that everybody else isn't having this many problems with there A4's as I do. But I'm stuck and I can't do anything about it, except sell it. But I'm not having any luck in that either!

Screw the dealer, go to AoA, and if that fails, go to the state attorney

Default Who is replacing the bulb?

Maybe you already know this, but if you get ANY oils from your finger onto the bulb, or any dirty residue from the engine bay onto the bulb, they will blow out (though it's fairly typical for the glass bulb to shatter when this happens).

If your dealer has been installing them, watch them do it this time. If the mechanic is not using gloves, or appears to be careless in the install, point it out to them (and AoA).

Sorry, short of this, I can't understand why this would happen.

I have had my 99.5 for 133 months and I had to replace each low beam bulb once.

Default never lost one...

if the voltage is not too high (have someone measure it), or the bulb is not loose than someone is getting something on it. Not really anything else to go wrong (and what bonehead, i.e. the dealer tech, doesn't check for this easy stuff after the d*mn thing has come back so many times).
