I have the same problem too. Doesn't really concern me.
I also get a sqweaky sound from the front axles (not sure what the noise is coming from) when in motion, and it goes away when once the car is warmed up.

I've had this problem for about 3 years now...
It drove/drives me nuts. I finally was able to pinpoint it to the A/C Aux fan. If you have the car in ECON my squeal goes away.
My mechanic (and Audi/VW specialist) basically said he could replace it if I wanted to, but it's a sealed fan so he couldn't do much for it. It's like $400-ish I believe so I told him I would wait until it failed.
It hasn't failed in three years and I'm trading in the car tomorrow so if you can live with it, then it's not really harming anything.
Unrelated? My car would also steam ALOT after driving in a snowstorm from the grill area. Not sure it it was related to this belt noise. Almost looked like a steam engine after it's boiled over.

Disagree wholeheartedly. I've used belt dressing successfully for
well over 40 years. It isn't a panacea by any stretch but it will treat a slightly glazed belt just fine. Always remember to never use always or never.

Well, then I guess we disagree. :-)
In my 30+ years (jeebus, we're old) working at the ancestral family repair shop I've found its value to be very short lived. Customers spray the crap all over the place even on very worn/cracked/loose belts and then come cryin' to me when the belt breaks of jumps off the pulley. And it makes a mess.
Glad it works for you.

Ayup.
I don't use spray. I have a tube of paste I've had in my tool box for years. I wouldn't expect belt dressing of any sort to mend worn, cracked or frayed belts or copensate for improperly adjusted belts.
