Default Not a fun job , but look inside the rack boots.....

Usually if you just pierce a small pin hole at the bottom side and the fluid drips out, its time for a new rack. Other people have found leaks at their hoses coming off the rack but I've yet to see it on an A4. BMW's seem to go through tons of p/s hoses, so its a possiblity.

Default ummm...never? The car is 5yo and never had any problem with the PS

Just recently, I've notice that the PS fluid level went quite low.

U mean everything in the expansion tank should look green?

seems like problems are comming up one after another.
I've just change all my control arms a week ago and now this.

Default places to check

In behind bumper on driver side.. clamps get loose. Directly from the resevoir. Take out fender linings and the upper lining against the fender on the driver side... I found a leak there.. I posted yesterday asking how to fix it. Power steering hose is 295$. 98 2.8L QM
