I had mine going back and forth from the middle to the cool side. In the shop now.

Default Re: I just don't understand then... PLEASE read about my story... About the car...

I got the car in May and have been trying to solve the problem since... First my mechanic said its the fan clutch, replaced it, and nothing happened. Then I saw I had a bad Coolant Resevoir... Replaced it... Still Overheated. Today I had him put in the ECS Ultimate Timing Belt Kit which has the Timing Belt, Acc. Belt, Idler Roller, Tensioner Roller, Water pump, and Thermostat. I thought that this would solve the problem and hasn't. He has told me it is "normal" for them to run like this... It gets to about 3/4 above half at points... All I can think now is that it is a leaky hose, a cap or a faulty gauge... I have been losing coolant which leads me now to believe a hose, but I can't pinpoint where I am losing it. It isn't a headgasket because I had that checked out... I am just so frustrated and upset. Please help me with ANY input... Thankyou.

Default Re: I'll check that... I heard that when it is so hot a fan should turn on when the car is off...

It has never done that.
