I'm a new member and am usually posting on VWVortex... because I own a VW, but I had a question about this stereo set-up. My bro just got an '02 A4 and I know that the stereo's in VW's, if you mess with the head unit, your also messing with the K-wire that is needed for diagnostics. I run VAG-COM on my 97 GTI VR6 and have experienced problems on my buddy's car because he has replaced the head unit. That's concern #1.

#2, Where do I get parts that are compatible with the stock premium head unit, where I could connect an aftermarket amp, if any? We're basiclly just trying to get a system in this thing without screwing any electrical things up... They are already suspect as you know with VW/Audi's in the first place. Any suggestions or pics?
