picked up an A4 for my daughter yesterday in Ohio, drove it home with no problems except flight delays going out and rain coming back.
The LED mileage/service window box was not lighting up fully, so I figured I'd see what else is up with the car and plugged in my OBD scanner. Comes back with an "err" displayed on screen, now I start my paranoia with NYS inspections and realize the check engine light wasn't illuminating on initial key on process.
So I pull the dash and find out the bulb has mysteriously vanished, could this cause the MIL system to not record codes and give me the "err" message?
The odometer was just a loose metal surround, tighten the fold over pins and all is well again.
Oh and can I come to the GTG in my oldskool 4KQ, affectionately know as "swiss cheese" around the house due to the holey exterior.
Thanks again.
