Occasional oil light + 0w50 oil = real problem?

Thar's your problem, son. (in his best Redneck twang) That's stuff shears to a 30 weight in a day.

15w-40 promises no OP light. It's only $2/q so there you go. Heavy synth oils are not worth bothering with, imo. If you have OP light at ALL with 15w-40, procede with repairs.
