Default OEM Coolant and Parts Needed

Hey Everyone,

I need to replace the fan clutch, auxiliary cooling fan, coolant, and thermostat on my B5. Could you recommend a few reputable OEM parts websites that sell G12 coolant and other cooling system parts at reasonable prices?

Buy these at shokan...www.shokan.com, you can get them used or new, they have both sections on their website.

Shokan is a pile of overpriced crap. Joe @ AxisMotorsport is the guy who you want to talk to.

No need for OEM coolant, just use Zerex G5.

Thanks for all of the recommendations! Now I just need to find a diagram for removing the auxiliary cooling fan. I couldn't find a diagram in the Bentley Manual for it....any suggestions?

Since you will already have the entire front end off:
1. The auxiliary fan will be real obvious
2. Might as well do the timing belt if there is any chance you need it
3. Also think about the bearings in the various tensioners
4. How about your auxiliary belts?

www.germanautoparts.com always treats me right, and their prices are good as well. If there's something not listed on their site, give them a call, chances are, they have it.

Places I've bought stuff from include

1) German Auto Parts
2) Pure EMS
3) Europarts-SD (http://store.europarts-sd.com/)

I'm biased and prefer the last two because they are near San Diego so I can either go pickup parts, or have it shipped reasonably priced. You might get dinged with the shipping costs of fluids (weight).
