a couple weeks ago, my car got buried by falling snow from the roof of an ice rink here in the boston area. it put a pretty big dent in my hood, unfortunately. I have tried to claim it thru the ice rink's insurance but so far, they have denied the claim. >:@ and the idiot I am, I have a $1000 deductible.

therefore, I'm wondering if there's a way to get a pre-painted OEM hood. I have a black 2001 A4 1.8TQM Avant.

does anyone happen to have one laying around? does anyone know a place to purchase one for less than I could get it thru Audi. keep in mind that I want an OEM hood. not aftermarket and not carbon fiber.

the OEM hood runs about 430 IIRC new from Audi..

You should be able to pick one up from a salvage yard for 2-3 hundred i'd imagine..

There are always a few people who are debating the purchase of a CF hood and would love to get a few hundred bucks for their oem. iirc, a new unpainted hood goes for around $450 so expect to pay ~$300 for a used painted hood from someone. You just have to hope that they are in your area since shipping is really not a good option.
