Ok people,
I know they paint them to prevent corrosion,
But i remember when i did my A8 brakes i had that silver paint all over my wheels for a month. It was a PITA scrubbing to clean the wheels.
Now, i'm installing rear rotors and they too are painted with that silver paint.
Should i intall them as they are or take sand paper to them and get the paint off?? or any other solutions anyone has under their hat?
Thanks
DG

I just let the pads wear it off though. I've never noticed any mess when doing that. It's a very thin coat of paint to prevent rust.
I always paint them again (just the hats) with high heat silver to keep the rotors looking nice in our salty/snowy winter weather.
Cheers,
