OEM RS4 vs. Reiger RS4...info please?
#11
where have you seen those pics? you know how much work would have to be done?
that would definitly make it NOT worth getting. it would cost way more to make the oem bumper fit then. i know i saw some pics of a guy over on the s4 forum who hasnt done the complete wide body kit yet, only has the bumper on. it looks like absolute crap! i am fortunate enough to see rob fox's (motopersona) rs4 sedan all the time, and i dont see how you could mold the oem rs4 bumper to make it fit. it would just look like absolute crap, and not be worth it.

his explanation on the retrofit is down the thread a bit...
he used washers or something. Quite odd. But to me it looks pretty good. I would rather get a bumper (rieger, seidl, whatever) that was made for the S/A4 body panels...unless going the FULL conversion...

So did you see JoshD's post over on the S4 board today?
Look down a few posts for the link. I think it looks DAMN smooth, I see no stress in the bumper. And apparently, the fix for making it fit was a few washers behind the bumper posts, which pull the bumper out from the car a bit. Good luck!

yeah, i did see that. and i reposted a correction to my previous post...
i would still like to see exactly what he did though. i dont think it would be that easy. just my $.02. but hey, if someone else wants to try it, and can do it, then more power to them!

Exactly
I'd be interested in more details as well.....he sure made it sound simple, but I'm willing to be it was a bit more involved. I'm still jealous :-)
