I'm looking for 1gb or higher blank CD, where can i find them?? I need them for massive sotrage on my cpu. I was to use the least amount of CD's possible when i do my back up.

To date there are only up to 80 Minute (~700MB) CDR's on the market. Normal CDR's are 74min (~650MB) and to use the 80min CDR's you need software and a burner that support "overburning."

There is no physical way to get 1GB on a normal CDR that can be read by "standard" CD-ROM drives.

You may have seen some MO (Magneto-Optical) or PD (Phase Differential) drives that do 1GB and look much like a CDR

There is no such thing as 1GB CD-ROM disk. CD-ROM currently holds around 650MB. A DVD hold 4.7GB.

The format Dreamcast uses, GD-ROM, can hold 1GB. But it is a proprietary format from Sega ... that means no more pirated games.

nowhere can you find a 1gig cd. try an optical disc... or just buy a whole nuhc of zip disks...
