Oh, forgot to ask about my brake wear the other week...
Is it common to wear the front rotors past spec when using the factory Ferodo made pads ? I have all the service info from my cars original owner and the pads and rotors were new @35k , now @64k pads had 8-10mm left on all four front pads but rotors were .5-1 mm below spec. Are those pads always that unfriendly to metal?

Not normal...
my guess is they didn't really change out the rotors at 35K. It's possible they made a mistake when they wrote up the repair order. I can't think of any reason an OEM pad (regardless of who makes it) would chew through a set of rotors before the pads reach half their orig thickness. Aftermarket pads are another story....

Thats what I thought , or they may have turned them instead.
They are OE rotors , I still have them on my workbench . They weren't grooved much either, very flat still. I just installed Raybestos fronts and Bradi rears with Ceramicool pads frt PBR ceramic rears . I'm getting almost no brake dust and good braking, but the PBR is more agressive. I can feel a rear bias to the braking , more pronounced at lower speeds.
