Default Oh yeah, baby. PES G2 system up and running!

Took me a lot longer than expected (about 3 afternoons---largely on account of having to replace so many things, like all the vacuum lines, etc), but holy cow was this well worth it. Car has substantially more ooomph now. Right around 300hp. 30V owners, this really is the sh*t. I know it's expensive, but I got a good deal on mine used, and am glad I spent the money. The install was actually pretty straightforward, too. Kudos to Ghari for walking me through this and bits and pieces of advice along the way.

Next up: Stinger standalone management later this summer--should easily be able to squeeze another 20-30hp out of her. Plus am now knee-deep into designing a "temp plate" to go between the manifold and blower.

Oh yeah.

Default Thanks. It was a bit of work, yeah, but not too bad. Just had to replace

so many things. Literally every bit of vacumm line in the car, for starters. plus the damned head breather lines all cracked and broke, as was to be expected. Some 5/8 heater hose did the trick, and will be indestructible. Beats the hell out of the ridiculous 94 bucks at the dealer. Plus PES sent me the wrong belt (had to hit NAPA and find the right one) and also the pulley bolt was almost an inch too short. had to fab my own from pre-existing VW/Audi bolts I have kept around for years.

Default oh man; and it looks good too!

a) how much did you invest in this up to this point? b) what do you get for fuel/mpg now? or too early to say? Tempting but why is this thing so much $$?

Wondering as long term my stock 30V is not going to do it for me now that I'm back into cars. I love my silver 30V Avant and wondering if I just keep my A4 and do CO/PES/Drive-Train/Wheels/etc. But that is a lot of damn $$ and more importantly for me time. Or I just get a low mile B5 S4 Avant do minimal upgrades and be done.

***staying B5 regardless and keeping all my existing A4s to put on ice if the S4 should ever surface.

Default One of the next upcoming projects. Probably gonna cut a duct in from

the fender--something that looks tasteful---not cheesy like the ricers---to draw in colder air around the filter. Built that intake about 2 mos ago.
