Default Oil change

what kind of oil is used in a 99 A4 1.8t ??

and if u needed it to get done immeadiately, which place would u trust to do it?

im weary of canadian tire... dealers are booked... and are $80, BBR is that expensive too.

i found the tech article on reseting the service light,.. it really that easy?

Default can you do it yourself?

i wouldnt trust one of those quick oil change places. i use mobil 1 either 5w-30 or 10w-30 depending on the season

Default I get mine for $52 out the door w/ mobil 1 10W30 synthetic and a factory filter at a local mobil pit

service light is every 8,100 miles or so but I change my oil every 3,500 so randomly the service light appears. very easy to turn off following the tech article, took a whole 30 seconds one night while I was out closing the sunroof.

don't go to jiffy lube I've heard horror stories, def. not pep boys they just suck.

be careful w/ the belly pan, inquire before with the shop whether or not they have removed and put back an A4 belly pan b/c some don't know what they are doing w/ it and may not even put it back on.

I paid $84 for the first oil change I got on my car, that was at the dealership- never again!
