Default Oil Change

OK--a debate between my brother and myself. Would you take your a4 to one of those speedee oil change places with your synthetic oil and trust them to do it right?

Didn't find much on this in the archive--just wanted your thoughts...

It worked for me, with Jiffy Lube. But do call them if they have the filter and done a4s before going there.

Default Dont do it!

Even though it is such a simple job, those morons will find a way to screw your car up. They over torqued my drain plug and stripped it, didnt fill my differential with the correct oil, and didn't do some items on the checklist.

It is best to just do it yourself. It is just a ten minute job.

With Mr Lube, take your own supply of new coppoer drain plug gaskets....they will never replace them probably because they don't have any.
Apart from that, Mr Lube up here in Toronto, keeps all the synthetics and real VAG filters.
However, I have not yet had occasion to take the A4 to one, only previous VW GTis.
