I just wanted to get some info from everyone regarding the cost of an oil change at the Dealer... I just had my first paid oil change and talk about some serious sticker shock...

Here are the numbers:
1. Lube oil & filter Maint.including check fluids etc.etc. = $54.95
2. Oil Filter = $9.56
3. Gasket = $1.10
4. 4 Mobil 1 @6.95 = $27.80
Tax= $6.55
Total= $99.96
Is this what your dealer charges you?

Its alot cheaper to do it at home in your driveway!

2. Crush Washer (From Dealer) = N/C
3. 4 Q Mobil 1 $4.99 ea = $19.96

Sub Total = $30.46
8.25% tax = $ 2.51
Total = $32.97

I called around when I was going to do mines and one dealer said 89.95 and another dealer near me said 39.95. What they do different, I don't know, but I just ended up doing it my self for 35 (mobile 1 filer and Synthetic oil)

here's the stealership for ya. my local import shop does it for about $55 (Mobil 1 included).

Synthetic is expensive, so I just bring my own ($5/qt at the local store).

what exactly is that gasket, i used a new filter, oil, and crush washer, no gasket though...
