Out of warranty and need to have my oil & filter changed. What is the best bet - pick up an OEM filter for $8 or $9 or pick up a Mobil 1? How much do the Mobil 1's cost? I remember Fram's only costing about $4 YEARS ago. Any others I should consider? Thanks.

if you change the filter with every oil change, it shouldn't matter

Go with the Fram...I change my oil every 2500....seems to work fine...don't bother with the OEM one...Fram probably makes it!

I get them from the VW dealer - cheaper.

....stick with the OEM Audi filter, Mobil-1 filter, or Mann.

If I bring in my own oil, my dealership charges me $12 for a change.Cheaper for me to let them do it
