Default oil leak into coolant tank! Is this posssible?

I just got my car back from repairs due to leaking coolant and oil mixing. I caught it right on time thank god! But I have yet another problem. I have been checking uder the hood regularity since I got it back speciaifcally at the dip stick and coolant levels and the oil looks fine but the coolant tank looks really dark. When I topped off the coolant just the other day it was a nice pink colour. Now it is a dark browny reddish. What does this mean? Is the oil seeping into my coolant?

seems to me someone mentioned that happens when you use the wrong fluid for topping off.

oil in the coolant is a sign of a leaking head gasket

Or a failed OEM oil cooler.

As I mentioned in my last message, I just got the car back which the gaskets were replaced. So I know the gaskets aren't leaking. Can this be something else?

Yes. If the car is running fine, thats the most likely mixing source..

How do I tell if the oil cooler is broken? Is this a serious problem?

Default It is a very serious problem. Unfortuneately, there is no easy way to tell if it's broken...

the best thing to do is perform an oil change, and while you are there, carefully inspect the oil coming out of the filter stud... If there are ANY traces of coolant, stop, and have someone take you to get a new cooler. Coolant in the oil will cause serious damage to the engine, oil in the coolant will clog your heater core and radiator with gunk.
