Default Oil leaking from around oil cooler, already replaced the round seal.

I have done a search and came up with little to zero information on this problem I am having.

The car is a 1999.5 Audi A4 1.8T.
Oil is leaking from somewhere around the oil cooler. I thought that maybe the seal between the oil cooler and the casting that bolts to the engine block may be leaking.
I bought a new seal and replaced it, took the car to a self-wash station and cleaned the engine really well.
Right when I got home I noticed that it was still leaking from around that area.

Could it be that the leak is coming from the seal or Gasket between the engine block and the aluminum casting holding the cooler and filter?

I know about the oil cooler mixing oil/coolant, since I just helped a friend replace the oil cooler on a '97 because of that.

Default That whole piece between the oil cooler o-ring & the block......

has a couple different oil ports that could be leaking. Check the oil pressure sensor, and the turbo oil feed line. Other than that, you could look at the pcv system, maybe there's some damaged parts there.....

Default The oil is definately coming from the oil cooler area. I will try to replace the seal at the block.

Is the oil pressure sensor mounted on that same casting?
I will have to examine this a little further.
It's too dark to try anything right now, so I will do this tomorrow morning.

Default Try this: see if you can tighten the cooler to the block....

I had a friend with problem.....so the dealer just turned the oil cooler to tighten it. The oil cooler is like the filter, turn it right to tighten it.

Actually, the oil cooler is held in place with a JAM nut on the 1.8T. Doesn't turn like the filter.

Default I couldn't wait, so I went outside to have a quick look at the whole assembly from the top.

I pulled back the boot that covers the oil-pressure sensor terminal and found the terminal to be soaked in oil, as if the oil was coming out around the terminal, right through the sensor.
I don't think the leak is coming from here though. Will inspect further tomorrow.
If anyone has any other ideas, or has encountered this problem, feel free to offer suggestions. TIA
