Oil level at minimum, light on at only 3300 miles. This normal for a new car to burn it that fast?

Re: Hmmm, no I didn't check until now. Prolly should of. Need more opinions experiences people?
Oil settles into cracks/crevances of the engine in a new car, this is why it ends up getting low. It depends on each car individually. I've seen people post saying they had to add, and some say they never had to. I'm kind of bad and never checked my level since I took delivery and my first service at 5100 so I can't say what my car was like.

Mine didn't burn a drop between 0 and 5000 miles...
At the service appointment I provided Mobil-1 0W-30, and I haven't lost any in the subsequent 3000 miles either.
Some oil consumption is normal, that is to say perfectly acceptable, during your breakin period. Periodically check your oil, at the gas station is a good oppurtunity, and see where you're at from fill up to fill up. Oil consumption should go down and your mileage should gradually increase. I pop 30 mpg on the interstate all the time in my 1.8T after 8000 miles (and the change to Mobil-1).
