A really strange thing happened about a week ago. I took my 98.5 1.8T in for it's 15k service brought the car directly back home and parked it in the garage. After about 2 weeks of not driving it I was disgusted with the amount of pollen that had accumulated on top of it(now gold not silver), so I was going to go rinse it off. I started the car and it coughed a little ran roughly for about 3 or 4 seconds and the check oil light came on. I figured it was running rough b/c it had sat for soo long and that the service department forgot to reset the service indication light. I mentioned it to my service manager and he told me the sequence to turn of the service light. However before I took the time to perform his instructions the light mysteriuosly went off.
I am baffled..I can't think of a reasonable explanation. The only reason I can thnk of is that I think the car is getting an attitude with me since I am now trying to sell it!!!!
Anyone got any ideas??
Silver 98.5 1.8TM (for sale)
Silver 99 1.8TQM (Mintex, R28s, Blaupunkt Sydney, awaiting Garrett soon)
