Default If it's a 97, it shouldn't...

Look at the turbo. There are two lines coming off the front of mine. One has a silver metal shield with 2 buttons on it. This is not the line you're looking for. The other on is a braided wire mesh that heads towards the engine and runs BELOW that heat shield you see. Notice that the line itself, though, is exposed to the turbo and it's latent heat. The new shield shields this line from the turbo.

It should only take a few screws to install it. And for $14 vs $1000+ for a new turbo, why not.
