Default What about if I have a 2.8 Tranny and a 1.8 Engine?

thats what my "guy" is claiming.

the bently isnt doing a damn thing BTW

Default You have to loosen the tranny mounts and the motor mounts as well as dropping the front

of the subframe. Loosen the rear bolts of the subframe and remove the front bolts. If you don't do all of this, you wont be able to pull the pan out even after you get all of the bolts out that attach it to the tranny bell housing.

P.S. There are 2 bolts inside the bellhousing.

Default Oh, I forgot the whole "jack the motor up as high as possible", but I think you probably figured

that part out.

Be carefull if you use a floor jack rather than a hoist.

Default lol We were in an aircraft hanger

I think we could have picked up a freight train with the hoist we used on the engine.

While we are in there we are replacing the Engine mounts (one was shot) and the tranny mounts (might as well)
