So I replaced the valve cover gasket and I still get seepage from the front passenger side of the engine. I STFA and found that Kris Hansen recommended a 2.8 owner to replace the cam tensioner gasket. Does this create a problem on the 1.8Ts as well?
I get the seepage mostly when I turn hard left at any speed and brake. Tested it out here in the parking lot after I got the VCG replaced and I still got a strong burning oil smell.
Any ideas, anyone? :-\

If oil is seeping out when turning hard and braking, that tells me the oil is pooled up on your belly pan, which means absolutely nothing, except for the fact that you have a bad leak. I would remove the belly pan and have a closer look. Watch out for spilling puddles of oil when you drop the pan.

There may be some in the fender, again, look at it. You will need to turn the screws maybe half a turn and they should pop out.
