You have the height adjustability with more options than a sport spring. With the sport spring, to get it relatively low, you have to put the bilseins on the lowest perch with no possibility of going lower. With the race springs, you can get that low with the perches set in the middle with room to lower more or raise.

that's too bad for them, for they could have had quite a few more potential clients out there driving A4 than S4.

Paul has raced on the S4 platform. He knows it extremely well. He has added the A4 platform to his line of offerings, mostly because they could share the same parts (he just had to sort out the weight balance issues between the two cars).
His company is extremely small, with a limited number of offerings and resources. If he tries to expand into the smaller markets, it may cost him his business. The B5 platform is slowly dying, so now he'll need to turn his attention to the B6 platform...probably within 6 months of the B6 S4 making it's debut.
I think it's probably wiser for him (from a business standpoint) not to chase the FWD B5 market. He won't have a large enough audience to recoupe the r&d costs.
