Ok anyway to narrow down the cause of a over heating engine thermostat or water pump??

I did not notice any difference between it being hot or cold turns easily both ways...

It seems to be just as easy weather hot or cold...what does that mean??

The fan clutch uses a viscous coupling with a type of silicone fluid in it. When cold it can free...

.....wheel and as it starts to warm up it starts to engage as the silicone heats up and expands. So it can change it's speed with engine temp and it's load on the engine. If yours free wheels when hot,the fan clutch is bad and needs to be replaced. That's why you noticed it not turning as fast as you thought it should.
