OK guys, I admit--I broke down and bought the whole PES G2 kit today...

Couldn't stand it anymore---so used to having 250-300hp 16V turbo setups around (even though both of them, my Golf III and my '80 Jetta Coupe, are off the road right now getting mods done), that I just couldn't stand it any longer. Need more oooomph. Tired of the ricer pukes in town.
Needed to have some big power NOW, and the single-side turbo is taking too damned long and I just don't have as much time as I used to--too much other crap on my plate, what with school, the Mrs and kids, etc. Plus what with having dialogued with a guy the past 2 days who has well over 300 whp on this system, I figured it's worth it.
My intention is to run the PES ECU mods for the short term, but a good buddy of mine back up in Washington is a dealer for Stinger standalone systems (one of the best you can buy at any price) and the plan is to upgrade to that this summer sometime--which should easily account for a nice little jump in power as well.
Now I've just gotta get ahold of Colin at Techtonics on Monday and get the A4 V6 exhaust coming, and I should be in business here in a few weeks. Gotta' open up that restrictive factory exhaust. Gonna take a week of vacation and put it all on.
4Rings--I may be picking your brain here in a bit about an idea I have for a custom-fabbed "temp plate" to go between the charger and the manifold. Basically a cheater's method of cooling the intake temps.

Sweet... ForKIn' Sweet....... I still need to upgrade my sway bars, brakes, wheels, tires,
and other items, purchase a Porsche 914, install a Subaru H6 motor in it, race around for a while....
.
.
THEN... I'll save up for the PES G2 supercharger for my Daily Driver.
.
Post with pictures and YOUTUBE videos please once the conversion is done...
You lucky bastard.

Yeah---very much looking forward to this. Especially the Stinger system add-on...
Will make the entire setup FAR more capable. That system can do stuff no ECU mods could ever accomplish. Plus once I jump to 50lb injectors and forged pistons, my guys up north tell me 400hp is not inconceivable. I'm likin' it.

Nah... that was just me being liberal with the language speakins
He's going to powerboost a PES G2 supercharger and go from the "standard" 285ish rated horsepower to over 300 hp and eventually a stage 3 type of upgrade with the Stinger system and upgraded engine internals...... or something like that.
Sigh.... my poor 192 horsepower car is a bit jealous.

The one smaller pulley jumps to just over 10psi. 400hp is within reach at that point..
Definitely will have to upgrade the internals at that point---Ross pistons, raceware bolts, etc...

That's why we're going to stay at the stock psi until the temp plate project is done...
The guy I boughtthe system from has also already thought up of a temp plate idea---I am already working on one also---will go between the charger and manifold--will raise everything up only about a 1/2 inch
