Default Well that's the thing

we know what the 2.7T can handle

he would have to do so much work to that 2.8L and still he's not guaranteed to see anything other then a giant explosion.

The 2.8L block is not regarded as highly as the 2.7t for a good reason

"stout" isn't the term that most describe the 2.8L with

maybe the 12v

Default Just because it is bugging me and I figured your knowledge should be updated.

F1 cars have not been turbo'd for several years. This year they are all 2.4l V8's using Ethonal.

RS6 is not a 5.2 engine. But I imagine you were just typing quickly.

And most important... It is definitely NOT a matter of "sheer cubic inches."

Default I still have the idea of IC stuck in the back of my head using the IC plate

the aussie's get down under for their Holdens (Pontiac's) it too would require a bump in the hood i'm sure.

Default 4 bolt main can be added to the 2.8 block easily. I had that done as part of my (ongoing) rebuild

there's nothing wrong with the 2.8 block that 4 bolt mains and a good set of pistons cannot fix
