ok, here's a snow related question...if ABS is disabled, then EDL is disabled?

not having snow tires and having ABS on. I've had some real scary close calls without snow tires trying to stop with ABS "helping".

And granted, it's only there below 25 mph..
I do use real snow tires, but even in deep snow, the car just pulls fine, no odd tail wagging. Just normal tail wagging.
I literally never noticed EDL working, or not working, regardless of which tires I was running at the time.

All that does is stop it from spinning for an instant, then let it spin again. All it will accomplish is making the car squirm a little, it doesn't help traction. The only way to force torque across an open diff is to have equal resistance on both sides, and ABS just can't do that. You're better off driving with your foot on the brake to load up all 4 wheels equally, which is a trick I use from time to time when the going is REALLY bad.. Helps to only have 2 pedals in those situations. =D

I've never had a problem with my Avants, but they are a lot heavier in the rear than the sedan is..
