Very interesting. and Carat...
I found Carat as a suggestion for quattro being interesting. I bought a VW Jetta Carat back in 1991. It was totalled by a DUI driver within two weeks. I never understood why it was called Carat. It seemed to be a trim line because not all VW Jetta's from that era were called Carat. And of course there is Wolfsberg Edition as well which is what my next Jetta was. And we won't mention the K2 or Trek ones..cuz we all know that was a marketing scheme to sell more cars. So, anyone know why VW released a Carat version of the Jetta in 1991? Obviously, it was not AWD. I am curious.

Carrera is spanish and porsche has been using that for a while, but everyone does it...
GT GTR GTS is english but you see that on jap cars
RS is german but you see it on american cars
so what?
