Default Ok new problems, even a CEL!!

I went to go start my car tonight to see if i could figure out this stuck on SAI or whatever it is and...
Car really did not want to start. I had to crank it for a bout 30- seconds again and it slowly started to fire and finally ran. But it was really weak. I figured it was just cold and needed to be warmed up but when I would give it some gas it would rev to about 1500 and just bounce there. I would let off and it would almost die but catch itself at about 500 and hold. Then after it was warm i shut it off and turned it on again and thats when the CEL poped up.
I know this has to have something to do with this damn whatever it is stuck on. Anyone seen anything like this before?

Default If SAI doesn't turn off due to a bad relay, oxygen sensors will see too much oxygen

Still, car should run fine while in open loop, which typically right when you start it up until the O2 sensors warm up enough.

Default hey dude, just now saw your post....

I'll try and take my laptop/vag cable with me today. If you are around I could stop over around lunch time to read the codes, etc.

BTW, I was in bed by 6:30pm yesterday. Snowbowl kicked my ***; one too many times down west ridge =)

Default update...

Initially pulled these codes:

17967

17953

Cleared and this one keeps coming back:

17953 - Throttle Valve Control: Malfunction

Plus the following Symptoms:
Whether in park or neutral the car is unresponsive in revs and will enter into a loop when it reaches 2,000rpm and will immediately drop back to 1,500rpm.

STFA and found that TBA was tried on all the cars that had the same symptoms but not a fix for it. But don't find a lot other than to replace the TB, etc. Dave in SLC said something about cruise control, etc. Anyone have any other ideas?

Going out to do a TBA
